Spring fling ... Prose poem ...

Smells of early spring,
Hit me like the smell of a man wearing too much musk cologne,
My vision blurred,
From my eyes tearing,
My mouth was openly inhaling,
Because my nose refused to breath,
While a headache throbbed deep inside my head

A glass of water,
A red sinus pill,
Twenty minutes later,
I took a deep breath of spring,
And welcomed the allergies it was about to bring,
Because I didn't care,
As long as there was no visible air coming from my mouth,
as I exhale my breath,
Nor sidewalks blanketed with heavy wet white snow,
For my shovel and aching back to throw

Mothers Day... Remembering mom on Mothers Day... Prose poem

When God first let your being become life,
The first thing you feel, is the gentle touch of your mothers hand,
Touching, caressing you through her swollen belly,
While tenderly talking to you

Then after you are born, she is the first to take you in her arms the very first time,
Where her scent, indents into your your mind,
Her voice, crowds your ears with comfort,
The tranquil of her love, is woven into your soul,
And from that first day to her last,
She touches you in ways you never could imagine

A steady hand on your shoulder as she teaches you,
A bosom cuddle to protect you from the rain, the wind, or just to reassure you when you were afraid,
A firm hand that cupped your face, as her eyes stare, demanded your respect,
A hurting hand on your backside, as she taught you the consequences of wrong, verses right,
Which you learn its better to confess your wrong, then feel the harsh consequences of a ball face lie to cover up any of your wrong doings

You remember the hug that she gave you, when an outburst of becoming a man overwhelmed your senses of how hard her back hand could slap,
But Instead of knocking you senseless, her hug welcomes the man you are to be, and let you know that he would also be loved by her,
Mothers always knew what touch you needed, be a gentle slap aside the head, that mean think with your mind the next time,
To the cuffed collar around your puny little neck, to let you know you better get your personal self being together in a hurry,
You never noticed how much your mother touched you, until those touches were forever gone

But even after she has gone,
Your mind can recall all her touches,
From the life learning ones, to the gentle loving ones,
The ones that wiped away your tears,
The I love you ones that she patted on top of your head that brought joy to your heart, a smile to your face,
The one she shook your hand with, to let you know she was proud of the man you had become...

Mom,
Your touches might be gone,
But your presence live on in my heart,
My mind,
And furthermost, in my soul,
Your life touches will never be forgotten,
PJ...

Perpetual love ... Musing ....

Sun quickly rise in the east
Then slowly fall in the west

Today we have a full moon
"Tomorrows" it will be half full

Grass is always greener after the rain,
Turns brown in the heat of the sun

Birds rejoice in song, in the light of a new day
Their voices go silent, when the sky becomes dark

The one constant in my life,
Is the love you have only for me ...

Perpetuity of love ...... Prose poem

My heart beats as one
As I walk through life

It beats in tune to your unremitting love of me,
Your uninterrupted rhythm of giving love

It beats in the love that you have shown me,
Shared with me over our years together

It beats slow and softly in remembrance of your soft caresses,
Your tender nature, the kindness you always bestow upon me

It beats hard, loud and steady when you are near me,
When your arms embrace wraps around me,
Your lips unite with mine

They say love can not be described,
But I say I have the perfect description of love,
The description is you,
Because your are love,
You are my past, present, forever love...

Happy anniversary,
PJ

What is love? ... Musing ... (Thoughts series)

(What is love)
Song play in the background,
My thoughts drifts on a conversation,
I had with my good friend

He talked about his share of woman over the years,
He boosted about his prowess,
He smiled when mentioning my lack of numbers before I met you,
He laughed as if it was important to me,
But his prideful smile left his face,
When my voice proclaimed I knew what love is,
Heartache was a thing of the past,
Loneliness was only when you weren't near me,
And it would vanished, whenever my eyes laid on your presence

I had no game,
I needed no game,
Because once you came into my life,
The games were over;
While his heart was still searching for love,
Love was as near as a gentle hug before me,
While he was making what he called love in the middle of the night,
I basked in true love all day and night,
Because when you came into my life,
You showed me what love is,
You shoved me how to love

When our conversation was over,
That confident smile had left his face,
It had been replaced with the look of uncertainly on it,
Because he realized after all these years of what he thought was conquest,
Was failure

He had failed to find that one woman,
Who would show him what true love is,
Like you had shown me...
