It was instilled into me to be a man strong:

Strong in mind,

Strong in the arms,

Strong-shouldered to carry life burdens,

Strong-willed to be all I could be in my lifetime

Then came you

A woman who made me see the light in the dark,

Darkness in the bright of the sun,

Feel the coolness in the hot summer breeze,

Feel the heat on the coldest of dark nights

You have become the woman who made me weak:

Weak in my mind thoughts,

Weak in my heart

You make me laugh when I don't want to,

You make me reflect on the good in my life while letting go of the bad,

You helped me learn patients when I no longer have none, 

You taught me to forget while forgiving those who trespass against me

Effussive ... Prose poem ........

Cold wind brisk against my face,

turning my eyebrows and beard into a frozen layer of iciness

Swirling white snow blinds the vision of my eyes, 

making it easy to lose ones surroundings

Heavy bitter cold air, 

make it hard for my lungs to freely breathe, as it's frost biting ways,

nip at the tip of my toes and fingertips

But while all of this is happening, I think of you, and the summer breeze you bring

The warmth of your smile that warms the air that touches my face, 

with the heat of the morning sun

The warmth of your heart, that paths my way,

with it's steady beats

The warmth inside your mind, 

that keeps my focus from astray

The warmth of your flesh,

Yes,

Things have not been like before for awhile,

But it hasn't been anyone person fault,

Life has handed us a deck of cards,

And we have to play with it the best we can

Yes,

I'm tired,

But because I'm tired doesn't mean I have given up on you,

Because I still believe in you and I see everyday my prayers are being answered

I'm not going anywhere,

I'm not with you because I have to be,

I'm with you because I want to be,

And I love you,

And I shall always love you,

No matter which deck of cards life hands us to play with

Things are very slow about getting better,

But they had said it would take time, so slow down and let it happen,

You can't be super woman when your cape is dirty and in the wash,

So walk and enjoy the slow down,

When you gaze into my eyes, it's not me that you see 

It's the reflection of all the goodness in you that's now in me 

Your soul has entered into my heart 

Wrapped so deep, no man nor woman, could ever pull us apart 

When the words "I love you” whispers in your ear 

It's our eternal love, which keeps you near 

Even when our bodies are separated and far apart 

A deeper affection, and appreciation, of one and other starts 

When you kiss my lips tenderly and ultra soft 

My heart opens wider then an expensive spacious loft 

My mind is forever starving for your gentle touch 

Just because I love all of you, just that much 

So how can one forget, about a love that never stops 

Especially when every time my eyes lay upon you, my heart skips a beat and feels like it's going to pop

I remember that song, I haven't heard that song in a long-long time. I remember us slow dancing to it at .... 

Me:

My memory slowly fades in, she's wearing a blue pants suit, white blouse, dark blue shoes, the fragrance of her perfume slowly filtering into my nostrils...

Check to cheek,

On a crowded dance floor,

Arms hold on tight,

Soft firm breast, impel into taut chest,

Bodies embrace in a sensuous soulful slow dance,

Crowded dance floor becomes a distance memory,

While soft slow music of love enhance in minds forever,

Today, my hand found my pen inside its grasp once again,

It was attempting to write a poem just for you,

A poem that will explain exactly how I feel about you,

A poem of endearment,

When I awoke this morning, writing this poem was not on my mind,

But a thought of you, lifted up my pen and gave me the desire to write,

But as I lifted this pen, I realize I had nothing new to say to you,

High on a bridge she sits and waits

And while she waits, she anticipates

Waiting for him to turn from a sprit to mortal flesh

So they can put a love hotter then the sun, to the test

Like the howl of the wolf is carried by the wind

Her soul travels through his vines, where their love will blend

So every time the sun rise and shines

She'll always be there, putting her love on his mind

Never again in her heart will she feel sadness

While living in this world of unhappiness and madness

Once their lost souls intertwine

It Takes A Fool ... Song Poem ... Thought Series ...

This thought was triggered by reading iamagirl blog....

Normally a song poem is written with just a line or word from the song. But I decided to write with all the lyrics and add my own words to it because unfortunate for me, the words hit home, and this was really one of my I hate love songs... I tried to follow the rhythm of the song as close as I could... 

 (My words are in Bright Green)

There was a time, after she had done me wrong, 

I would listen over and over to this song,

Contemplating in the shadows all alone,

While sitting and listening closely to this song words

Because I was a fool for falling for someone I had a lot of doubts about,

But being lonely, you lower your guard and let people in your comfort zone,

I let myself have feelings for someone who didn't have my interest at best,

Even thou I knew she didn't really past the trust worthy test,

But you think if you have know this person most of your life, then taking a chance should be a save bet,

Never thinking you would find out that this song was written by someone, who knew her better then me, when he sings...
